Who We Are and Why We Are Here

Welcome to the blog for efantasygolf.com .  Efantasygolf is a site designed and built to make your fantasy golf league easy and fun.  Check out our  about us  for more information about us.  In short we are two guys who are average to below average golfers who enjoy watching and prognosticating on golf and one guy who knows how to build a website. This site is designed with the users and league commissioners in mind.  We have all been in leagues where drafting is a pain, score entry is tedious, and getting everyone on the same page is like hearding cats.  This site fixes that.  Take a look at our how it works page for an in-depth description of how our site works. We had intended on kicking off our website for The Masters Tournament in April, and then everything was cancelled.  We have taken this time to refine our website, do some beta testing and work some of the bugs out.  This delay will improve the user experience and make this a g...

Masters Fantasy Breakdown

The Masters Tournament is without question, the most exciting golf tournament of the year. Especially when there is a man in the field with an opportunity to win his 16th major. In case you have been living under a rock, it’s Tiger Woods. Tiger may have some advantages, but can anyone beat DJ, and what about Justin Thomas? In this breakdown, I will go through all of my personal favorites to win the tournament. This should help you pick your efantasygolf lineup for the Masters.

Tiger: Despite the obvious fact that Tiger Woods is one of the best players at Augusta National of all time, he has some very interesting advantages. One of which is simply, yardage. Now you may think that every tour pro knows the yardage of each club perfectly. However, Augusta is a very unique place, other than the fact that players' yardages are already goofy, it is going to be much colder this year based on the time of year. The course is looking much harder, and even a little bit dry. This will 100% create some chaos for players. This has the potential to give Woods some big advantages. We all know Tiger as the artist. He is not focusing on his yardages because he knows it won’t be consistent. I predict this will help Tiger gain an advantage. Does this mean you should add Woods to your efantasygolf team? I would say no, but if you’re feeling risky, he has the potential to go off.

Dustin Johnson: Now this is an obvious pick. Dustin Johnson is the FedEx Cup champion and 2020 PGA player of the year. Not to mention he knows how to play Augusta. He won the tournament by four strokes in 2009. Needless to say, he is looking better than his 2009 self. Even if he doesn’t win the tournament he is a very consistent golfer. Look for him to go quite a bit under over the four days.

Justin Thomas: Justin Thomas is currently ranked the 3rd best player in the world. Not to mention this man is very clutch. In his young career Thomas has already won a major. If there is any way you can sneak him onto your team I definitely would.

Hideki Matsuyama: Matsuyama is not the golfer that comes to mind when picking golfers to be on your fantasy team. However, there is no denying this man. He has THE most consistent golf swing in all of golf. Not to mention his amazing putting stats, as well as the awesome driver power. Despite the fact that he is a 5 time PGA tour winner, I am still waiting patiently for his career to really break out and for him to be recognized as one of the best golfers in the world. I think that this might be his breakout tournament. Consider adding him to your team, I know I will.

Jon Rahm: Finally I have an obvious pick for you guys. Jon Rahm has been playing like he deserves to be ranked top 5 in the world. Not to mention his brief stay at number 1. The Spaniard is also a 5 time PGA tour champion along with Matsuyama. The only thing that could hold Rahm back is himself. Of course, I am referring to his temper. When he loses his temper he no longer looks like the golfer we know. At the BMW Championship he made a penalty and continued without losing his temper. He later won the tournament upsetting Dustin Johnson with the putt of the year, under pressure. This just goes to show he is one of, if not the best golfer in the world when he can keep his temper in check. It would be ideal if you could have him in your lineup.

My Ideal 10 man Lineup:

  1. Dustin Johnson

  2. Jon Rahm

  3. Hideki Matsuyama

  4. Justin Thomas

  5. Brooks Koepka

  6. Bryson Dechambeau

  7. Rory Mcilroy

  8. Gary Woodland

  9. Tony Finau

  10. Brendon Todd
